All-Time High Exports from Turkey to Germany

All-Time High Exports from Turkey to Germany
With its historically close relations, Germany is Turkey's most important trading partner. Despite concerns about global economic activity and the difficult times experienced by the European economy, demand for Turkish products from Germany continues.
Although there have been pauses in exports to Germany in recent times due to the effects of Covid-19 and the Russia-Ukraine War, improvements in trade are seen with the continuation of close relations between the two countries.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, during his visit to Turkey last month, stated that they want to restart intergovernmental negotiations with Turkey, saying, "In this way, many bilateral structures, formats related to foreign policy or cooperation in the defense industry have been revived. Germany is also striving for the development of relations between the EU and Turkey within the European Union (EU)."
According to the information compiled by the AA correspondent from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) data, Turkey's exports increased by 5.3 percent in October compared to the same period of the previous year, rising to 20.5 billion dollars.
Turkey realized the highest October exports of all time to Germany, with 1.6 billion dollars. Turkey's exports to Germany increased by 7.9 percent in October compared to the same period of the previous year.
Germany, which is the country to which Turkey exports the most during this period, maintained its leading position in exports.
Germany was followed by the USA with 1.3 billion dollars, the United Kingdom with 1.2 billion dollars, Italy with 1.1 billion dollars, and Iraq with 1 billion dollars.
