The Ministry of Trade announced that 23 provinces realized exports of over 1 billion dollars in the January-August period and that exports increased in 57 provinces.

The Ministry announced the export data by province for August.
Accordingly, Istanbul was the province with the most exports in August with 4 billion 782 million dollars. The city's exports decreased by 6.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
Istanbul was followed by Kocaeli with 2 billion 833 million dollars and an increase of 20.3 percent, and İzmir with 1 billion 909 million dollars and a decrease of 9.5 percent.
"PRECIOUS STONE" MARKED ISTANBUL'S EXPORTS
Precious or semi-precious stones ranked first in Istanbul's exports with 821 million 945 thousand dollars. This chapter was followed by clothing and accessories with 558 million 944 thousand dollars, and boilers and machinery with 516 million 783 thousand dollars.
In Kocaeli, motor vehicles were the sector with the most exports, with 948 million 462 thousand dollars. This chapter was followed by mineral fuels, mineral oils with 282 million 608 thousand dollars, and electrical machinery, devices and accessories with 240 million 435 thousand dollars.
COUNTRIES TO WHICH THE TOP 3 PROVINCES EXPORT THE MOST
Germany ranked first in Istanbul's exports with 332 million 16 thousand dollars. This country was followed by the USA with 327 million 590 thousand dollars and the United Arab Emirates with 273 million 275 thousand dollars.
Kocaeli made the most exports to England with 306 million 244 thousand dollars. This country was followed by Germany with 173 million 219 thousand dollars and Italy with 169 million 307 thousand dollars.
Germany was the country to which İzmir exported the most with 189 million 192 thousand dollars. This country was followed by Romania with 165 million 584 thousand dollars and the USA with 121 million 800 thousand dollars.
In the January-August period, 23 provinces realized exports of over 1 billion dollars, while 57 provinces increased their exports.
