Making statements on the subject, DENİB President Hüseyin Memişoğlu said, "In the January-April period, Denizli's exports were recorded at the level of 1 billion 380 million dollars with an increase of 0.6 percent. The geopolitical tensions experienced in global trade and the still ongoing high inflation continue to put pressure on our exports. However, we are at the break-even point compared to the same period last year, and we are even slightly in the positive."
"Exports Worth 40 Million Dollars from Denizli Daily on April 5"
Expressing that they encountered a remarkable data in March, President Memişoğlu said, "A remarkable data came across us in March. I had stated that 37.6 million dollars worth of exports were made from Denizli on Friday, March 29, 2024, that this value was the highest daily value of 2024, and that it went down in history as the highest value reached since June 23, 2023. This time, on Friday, April 5, exports worth a full 40 million dollars were signed from Denizli in one day. When we evaluate Denizli's exports sectorally in April; we see that textile-apparel exports decreased by 9.4 percent to 101 million dollars, electrical-electronics exports increased by 3.8 percent to 57 million dollars, iron-nonferrous metals exports decreased by 8.2 percent to 44 million dollars, agricultural exports increased by 7.4 percent to 28 million dollars, and mining exports decreased by 9 percent to 18 million dollars," he said.
Denizli machinery and equipment sector continues to contribute to Denizli's economy with sustainable export increase. In April, the sector's exports increased by 25 percent to 7 million dollars, and in the January-April period, it increased by 27 percent to 30 million dollars.

Our exports to Germany, which came next, increased by 0.1 percent to 30 million dollars, and our exports to the USA decreased by 3.3 percent to 23 million dollars. In April, the increase in exports from Denizli to Morocco by 126 percent and the increase in exports to Spain by 41 percent drew attention," he said.

More than 100 companies from Denizli also take part in the fair as participants and present their products to the liking of buyers. We, as the Denizli Exporters Union, will also take part in Hometex Fair with our 60 square meter stand area. Our members can hold meeting organizations at our stand. I wish all stakeholders of the home textile sector a successful and prosperous fair period from now on," he said.

I would like to state that we consider this meeting important, especially in the recent period when the issue of digital transformation is gaining more and more importance, and we want to invite our sector players to this meeting," he said.
