Turkey's Travertine Exports in the First Six Months

Turkey's Travertine Exports in the First Six Months
In the first six months of 2024, Turkey's travertine exports showed a significant increase. According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), travertine exports reached approximately $550 million, recording a remarkable growth compared to previous years. Travertine exports have particularly concentrated in countries such as the United States, China, and Saudi Arabia.
According to the data of the Aegean Mineral Exporters' Association (EMİB), exports from the Aegean Region also played an important role in this increase. This rise in Turkey's travertine exports is a result of efforts to increase competitiveness and quality in the sector.
Turkey has a large portion of the world's travertine reserves and is an important center for the processing and export of this natural stone. The production of high-quality travertine stones and their demand in global markets are strengthening Turkey's leadership in this field.
